Law of Contradiction: Ciel1

A few days before.

Upon seeing the sunlight coming from the window, she closed the book.

She was reading a not very entertaining novel while dozing off, and when she realized, the morning had already greeted her.

Did I fall asleep? Asked herself the woman on the sofa.

She had been killing time during the boring night, she had been gazing at a novel that nosey boy had brought with himself.

He was very open-hearted and a fervent enthusiast of vampires.

Still, there was no problem because there was plenty of time to kill.

The woman stood up and opened the curtains.

She was dazzled by the radiant light for a moment.
Tenacious, blue eyes glanced at the traffic.

There was no sign of their visitor yet.

On an funny, out of character way, the woman let out a small sigh — Ciel sat down on the couch and held the book with a bored face.

A small hotel in a certain British town. Ciel was waiting for their familiar throughout the night. Familiar refers to monsters, dolls, or even animals contracted by the magician.

In this case, it should be said that it was one of Merem Solomon’s “parts”.

Although the Holy Church did not use or permit the usage of magecraft, the truth was that as long as it was in the name of divine punishment delivered by devotees, outpowered Executors weren’t enough.
Many Executors, following God, surrendered to him and acted as his agents improving themselves to the utmost limits wherever heresy may exist.

A unofficial organization called the Burial Agency.
Heretics.
Demons.

An organization that demands naught but power to exterminate those deemed unforgivable.

When it comes to them, the usage of magecraft was allowed.

The Burial Agency has many assignments; vampires, phantasmal species, their destruction was unmanageable for the regular Executor.

Therefore, their individual abilities exceeded those of a regular human in all aspects.

The seventh position at the Burial Agency, bearing the “Bow” codename, Ciel, possessed the power to against such monsters in equal terms.

“Are you really coming…?”

Whispered Ciel while looking trough the window, there was no sign of Merem.

“Truth be told, I’m here.”

A voice resounded as the door of the room was opened. A boy was standing in front. While wearing a carefree grin and a smiling face, standing without giving off any sign is the monster holding the fifth position in the Burial Agency.

“Your tastes kind of suck, you know.”

“Is that so? How was the book? What, didn’t you find the love story of a vampire and a regular human lovely at all?”

“Nope. Not at all. Reading this while I’m on the way to hunt a vampire feels pretty weird.”

Merem laughed as he tossed the book away and stood up. It was time prepare.

“That’s why you were dispatched here.”

Did he sense Ciel’s bad mood? Merem raised his voice calmly.

“That’s right. He can be killed again. Even though I can do it quickly, I don’t know very well what are the thoughts of the higher ups about it.”

“No way!”, said in a tongue-in-cheek manner.

“Yeah, well, an order it’s an order. Why does Narbareck continue using me? Well, whatever, it’s just seek and destroy.”

It was finally time to get down to business, said Merem looking uninterested.

One can only wonder if he’s called out out of love and appreciation in these situations.

“Just as we realized, the territory seems already laid out. In spite of there being two large churches, well, we’re kinda losing face here. Ah, there’s also been a increase of magus, wouldn’t it be troublesome for more to be sent here?

“Heh”, Ciel showed emotions for the first time. Melem’s smile became even more innocent.

“Good good. The face of a trembling Ciel! And finally, a message from Narbareck.”

Merem laughed as he clapped

“Wipe your own ass …so she said.”

Needless to say, this was Ciel’s time to laugh.

“Although I’d like to shut them up right now, I’ll be good and go along. I’m really grateful with you, Merem.”

“No problem.”

Laughing one last time, Merem’s figure disappeared.

One minute later, she examined outside window, Ciel standing up.

Her blue eyes burned with anger.

I translate as I play, so if something’s kinda weird (like the Narbareck message), I’ll be proofreading this later, and in a not so distant future, paraphrase some parts, etc.
